Early Childhood Development

Research has shown that the level of educational and development support that children receive during the first eight years is a incredibly strong predictor of their academic and economic performance later in life. These years are an important period for brain development and lay the foundation for subsequent skills and aptitudes for learning. Obviously parents and childhood educators both play a part in early mental development. Often "learning through play" is the mechanism for educators and parents to reach children at these early stages.
